Great Lakes Basin Transportation will work with the Illinois Department of Transportation and others as the South Suburban Airport is procured. This new airport will primarily support the movement of air cargo in the southern portion of the Chicago region and provide needed capacity to expand and potentially support passenger traffic into the future. Our mission is to advocate a fresh approach to developing the newest airport in the United States.
